Sonmi451 - PMT#46 Wichita Falls

Sonmi451 is Bernard Zwijzen, creating his own blend of minimal, soundscape-laden atmospheric electronics in the city of Hasselt, Belgium. Sonmi451 is a character from David Mitchell's novel "Cloud Altas" who works as a slave-robot in an underground dinerplace, in a society called Nea So Copros in the distant future. It's quite a sympathetic humano?d, who's aspiring efforts to become enlightened are brutally oppressed by a totalitarian, consumer-driven regime. If you insist on labeling the music you might say it bears resemblance to the more atmospheric stuff that is released through labels like Mille Plateaux, Scape, Kranky, Kompakt.

About the record:

«This is a bit of a mixed bag with some ambient tunes, a bit of rythm and some soundtracks I particularly like. I think soundtracks deserve a lot more attention then there is now and mixing the two genres together counts for a nice listening experience. Enjoy».
